NEXT UP: EQ'ing vocals...if any, what are some techniques to eq the vocals, lead and bax, so that they remain crisp and so present, not muffled or anything? Is it even in the eq or is it a combo of things, and what's your take on tracking vocals in Logic?
Thanks Sam!Good shit amber u took my question,Sort of! During the mixing process after i've panned my background vox and i keep my lead in the middle,i cant seem to get the frequency seperation right between the two!out of every record that ive heard u mix the backs and the lead dont clash with each other frequency wise!i use different verbs and delays on the two to create different spaces but i still dont get the seperation that u give us on records!i usually cut on the backs where i boost in the lead and vice versa ,but since i usually work with the same vocalist for lead vox and background vox the frequency is usually the same right?i can go on for years about how i cant get it right due to my theories but i wanted to see if u could elaborate on how u achieve what im talking about!thanks again!!

Adding onto Amber's question, do you always use a compressor and reverb on the vocals??
